The average person moves at least 13 times in a lifetime. Here are some suggestions for stress free moving. You can use these tricks of the trade for storage.
- Summer is the busiest time of year for movers, so consider moving during another season.
- Make sure to use packing tape. Others tape can leave residue on your furniture. Also, the back side of the tape can be used as a rope.
- Use packing blankets to wrap larger items, including certain pieces of furniture such as chairs. Use tape to tightly secure that to the blanket.
- If packing blankets are unavailable, consider using old sheets, towels or other blankets.
- Wardrobe boxes will protect your clothes during a move, and can also be used to store off season clothing.
As the first moving company in the country to convert entirely to alternative energy and has launched a program in which their clients are able to donate gently used clothing to a charity by placing them in specially marked up-cycling boxes on the day of their move.
